This Privacy Policy explains how pawsociety.ch processes your personal data, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Email address and optional first name (when completing the quiz or subscribing to the newsletter)
  • Quiz answers and results (to personalise course recommendations)
  • Payment data (processed by Stripe; we never store card details)
  • Usage data (page views, clicks) via PostHog Analytics
  • Technical data (IP address, browser, device) via hosting provider Vercel

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Delivering personalised course information and compliance deadlines
  • Sending welcome emails and the Compliance Kit (via Resend)
  • Newsletter and informational emails (via Brevo), only with your explicit consent
  • Processing payments for the Compliance Kit purchase (via Stripe)
  • Website analytics and improvement (via PostHog)

4. Third Parties and Data Transfers

  • Supabase (Ireland / USA): database hosting, data stored encrypted
  • Resend (USA): transactional email, SCCs in place
  • Brevo (France / EU): email marketing, GDPR-compliant
  • Stripe (USA): payment processing, SCCs in place
  • PostHog (EU, Frankfurt): web analytics, no data leaves the EU
  • Vercel (USA): hosting, SCCs in place

5. Retention Periods

  • Email addresses and subscriber data: for the duration of your subscription, then deleted within 30 days
  • Quiz results: 12 months
  • Payment records: statutory retention period (10 years under Swiss CO)
  • Analytics data: 12 months (PostHog default)

6. Your Rights (FADP / GDPR)

  • Access to your stored data
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of your data ('right to be forgotten')
  • Data portability
  • Objection to processing
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time by emailing hello@pawsociety.ch
  • Complaint to the supervisory authority (FDPIC, Switzerland)

7. Cookies and Tracking

  • We use PostHog for privacy-friendly web analytics. PostHog does not store IP addresses and sets an anonymous session cookie. You can opt out via your browser cookie settings.
  • We do not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
